The International Society of Primerus Law Firms is an alliance of small to medium firms committed to excellence in the practice of law as embodied in the six pillars of Primerus:

It is the mission of the Society to seek out and accept only the best firms for membership and to assure that only the best firms remain members. It is further the Society’s mission to make well known the “Primerus” brand so that it becomes synonymous with high quality legal services throughout the nation and beyond.

The Society further seeks to provide a structure and services for its member firms equivalent to that which large firms provide their practice groups, yet allow Society members to retain their autonomy.

Finally, it is the Society’s mission to help restore public trust in our system of justice and to help elevate the legal profession to its rightful place of honor, dignity, and respect.

Because there is only one firm from each geographical region and we comply with the standards of Primerus membership, we are the only firm in Houston granted a license in the area of Defense Litigation. Primerus has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, which likens Primerus membership to a “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” for law firms. Minimum requirement for membership is an AV rating, the highest rating issued to firms by Martindale Hubbell. Applying firms go through an exhaustive vetting process, including interviews of judges, clients, and other attorneys in the area.
