GOVERNMENTAL LAW

Donato, Minx & Brown, P.C. is involved in many aspects of governmental law.  Our attorneys have experience representing home-rule and general law municipalities on issues ranging from the drafting of ordinances to complex litigation.  Our attorneys have served as appointed city attorneys, as well as retained advisors and consultants.  The attorneys in our firm have experience conducting internal investigations, handling EEOC investigations, drafting personnel policies, drafting ordinances, designing and drafting zoning laws, and a host of other municipal activities.  We are also well versed in the application of the Industrial Development Corporation Act of 1979 and its implications for economic development by Texas municipalities.  In addition to the inner workings of municipal government, our attorneys are experienced in defending municipalities, housing authorities, and economic development corporations when their ordinances are challenged in court, as well as when they are sued in personal injury or commercial litigation.  Our attorneys are sensitive to the political realities faced by our clients and, understanding those, provide the best representation possible to allow the municipality to achieve its purposes or defend its actions in an efficient and successful manner.
